Death Disco

I was djing at Death Disco tonight as a warm up for Alan McGee and BP Fallon’s set in Buck Whaley’s on Leeson Street. I had never been in this club before, apparently it only reopened a few weeks ago. The dancefloor is ridiculously amazing, reminds me of the floor from Pulp’s Common People video. Dammit why didn’t I put Different Class in my record case! The place was absolutely jammers so when I finished I ran up to the “VIP” room, where Lily Allen and MGMT were supposedly having some sort of party in but by 1.30am they didn’t show up, so I just went home. Knowing my luck they probably arrived just as I pulled off in a taxi, and I missed out on some class photo ops! Hope not

Alan McGee looks roughly the same in ever single photo I’ve seen of him in the last five years. He literally has one pose. Its hilarious.
The hat is gas
Hey thanks for the pic! You kept ur word. Peace and Love!
I am a woman of my word, Ciaran!
Loreana, it was a groove having u spinning w/ Alan & I @ DD. Thank u. Yes, what a surreal dancefloor! The ‘VIP room’ was/is nothing to do w/ Death Disco – we don’t have ‘VIP rooms’ cos we treat everyone the same. U split too early 4 ur Lily Allen sighting – Miss Allen & Mr Alan were spotted having a cheery chinwag – icon to iconette social intercourse – as I was happily oblivious in my own world, DJing. Thanks for the comment BP! I had great fun, thanks to you and Mr.McGee for having me down. I said VIP with inverted commas, as there was a bouncer with red ropes cornering off the room, but they were letting people in to see the band as I was leaving. Shame I missed Lily, but sure next time hopefully
Really enjoyed your set the other night – Common People was on my mind the whole time too!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi ya
Great photos its was typical lily arrived just after you left but one of the regulars got a photo which will forward to you… not as good as you could do i am sure… The upstairs is for all the “Common people” Buck Whaleys dont do VIPs we just rfever areas for our regulars who are celebrating their birtdays and want a table… the band were in the moment just like Alan who finished off the night with a few records i will never forget from the drugs dont work to oasis great stuff talk soon
Thanks Richard! It’s not often I get to dj in such a swanky club like yours so I presumed it was a VIP area, with bouncers and Van Morrison double on the keys! Haha. I had good fun, definitely want to dance on that floor again. Send the Lily shot on to myleftventricle@gmail.com
